2007/08 Philosophy Society 'Weekend'
Philosophy Society Awaydays
'THE MEANING OF LIFE'
Tulip Tree Lodge, Salisbury Youth Hostel
9-10 June 2007
The philosophy awaydays involve heading off to talk about philosophy and explore Salisbury. We'll be staying in a private lodge at Salisbury Youth Hostel, spending two days in beautiful surroundings, listening to student presentations, discussing Philosophy, and going to the pub. Everyone is welcome to come along.
We are looking for three students to do presentations. This will involve a short informal talk about a small paper on something to do with the meaning of life. If you think you would be interested please contact Bart at: b.streumer@rdg.ac.uk to learn more.
Cost: £20 for Philosophy society members, £22.50 for non-members. This is a real bargain, since it includes travel to and from Salisbury, accommodation, and dinner and breakfast (vegetarian option available).
Tickets are available from Jean Hetherington in the Philosophy Department Office. Staff, students and postgrads are all welcome.
