More A Scanner Darkly News

A Scanner Darkly (the Richard Linklater adaptation of a Philip K Dick Novel) is released in the US at the end of this week. Whilst looking around at lots of the reviews and previews online I found this article on slate.com. Joshua Glenn (who also writes an excellent column at the Boston Globe) has really got into the background of the book, looking at the ideas around at the time, and how they relate to Dick’s own style.
He Finishes on this positive note:

All of which is not to predict that Scanner is going to be Linklater’s best film yet, but it might be his most revealing one.

Here’s hoping so. It looks like it is shaping up to be the best Philip K Dick adaption to date.

Looking forward to the film. Like you said, this should be the best adaptation of a PKD story yet!

Don’t miss GrouchoGandhi’s contest, “GrouchoGandhi wants to show you his Dick.”
